SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to initiate direct flights connecting Sharjah International Airport and Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. This new route will operate four times weekly, broadening the airline’s network between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia operates flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, serving Jordan’s capital. The addition of this route provides travelers with a second airport option in Amman via the airline’s Sharjah network, further extending its scheduled Jordanian connections.

Flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and lands in Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Tickets for the new route are now available through the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies.
This launch enhances Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan network. The group currently operates flights between Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi and both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport are part of its offerings. The new Sharjah route will therefore strengthen the group’s presence at Amman City Airport by adding another departure point from the UAE, while maintaining its current services within Jordan.
Air Arabia broadens access to two Amman airports
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, highlighted that the new route provides travelers with the convenience of accessing a second airport in Jordan’s capital. He emphasized that this will offer increased flexibility and ease for passengers traveling between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the new Sharjah route on October 8, more than a month ahead of its scheduled start in November. It will operate alongside existing Sharjah flights to Queen Alia International Airport.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched its own service to Amman City Airport. That route began on May 1, offering three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. The Abu Dhabi branch also serves Queen Alia International Airport, providing travelers with two options for reaching Amman from the UAE capital. In April, Air Arabia stated that its two Abu Dhabi routes together offered 10 weekly flights to Amman at the time of the second airport’s launch.
Sharjah route will add four weekly flights to Jordan’s capital
Using flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170, the new Sharjah service operates on a fixed four-day weekly schedule. The airline’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its broader network. Passengers can also enjoy services such as SkyTime streaming, SkyCafe onboard meals, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Bookings for the Amman City Airport flights are now open via the airline’s established sales channels ahead of the November 15 launch.
This expansion strengthens Air Arabia Group’s Jordan connections through its bases in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers will benefit from direct flights to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Meanwhile, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates to both airports, and Alexandria offers a direct connection to Amman City Airport. The upcoming November launch will add four scheduled weekly flights between Sharjah and Jordan’s capital, further expanding the group’s regional network.
