SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop flights between Sharjah and Gdansk starting on Dec. 14, 2026. This new route will link Sharjah International Airport with Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport five times weekly. The flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This addition provides another direct connection from the UAE to northern Poland and broadens Air Arabia’s scheduled network within the country. Tickets for the new service are already available through the airline’s sales channels.

Air Arabia sets December start for Sharjah Gdansk route
Air Arabia expands UAE-Poland links with five weekly Sharjah-Gdansk flights.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs Sharjah at 4 p.m. and touches down in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return flight, G9 0629, takes off from Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and reaches Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the next day. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are scheduled for departures from Sharjah at 8:15 a.m. Return trips from Gdansk will leave at 1:05 p.m. and arrive in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m., with all times listed in local time zones.

Once operational, Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah, supplementing the airline’s existing services to Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport. Additionally, Air Arabia will initiate four weekly flights to Katowice starting Dec. 17, 2026, operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. These new routes, along with the Gdansk addition, will expand the airline’s direct network within Poland beyond the two cities it currently serves.

Gdansk enhances Air Arabia’s expanding Polish route network

The Gdansk route is part of Air Arabia’s broader European network from Sharjah. Its current destinations include Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. The airline has also announced plans to add Frankfurt and Katowice to this network. Gdansk provides a new destination on Poland’s Baltic coast and offers travelers in the Pomeranian region a direct scheduled link to the UAE via Sharjah.

Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali stated that the carrier was expanding its Polish network with the addition of Gdansk. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, also emphasized the significance of the direct Sharjah connection for the Pomeranian area. The airport has identified Sharjah as a transfer hub for destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Serving the broader Tri-City region, which includes Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, Gdansk Airport caters to other northern Polish communities as well.

Five weekly flights link Sharjah with Gdansk

Air Arabia utilizes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its network. Tickets for the Gdansk route are now available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies. The scheduled flights are identified as G9 0628 and G9 0629 for the Monday and Saturday rotations. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are scheduled as G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. This schedule ensures nonstop service both ways, five times a week, connecting the two airports directly.

The launch of the Gdansk route on Dec. 14 will precede the start of Air Arabia’s Katowice service by three days. With existing connections to Krakow and Warsaw from Sharjah, these December routes will bring the airline’s Polish network to a total of four cities. Passengers traveling to and from Gdansk will have five nonstop options weekly, in each direction, according to the published timetable. As of Aug. 26, 2026, Air Arabia confirms the December 14 launch date and the planned five-flights-per-week schedule for the Sharjah-Gdansk route.
