AHMEDABAD, India / RankWire.AI / — Over 500 government officials, institutional investors, and global business executives gathered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, for the fifth Indian edition of the Investopia Dialogues, aiming to boost cross-border capital flows across high-growth sectors. The event sought to turn the growth in UAE-India economic relations into concrete joint ventures and private-sector investment agreements, especially after the signing of the bilateral investment treaty between the two countries. Organizers emphasized that this platform acts as a key driver in accelerating international capital deployment in strategic fields such as artificial intelligence, sustainable manufacturing, and food security.

The assembly brought together major public and private sector stakeholders to identify potential in logistics, food security, advanced manufacturing, financial services, tourism, and artificial intelligence. UAE Ministry of Economy Minister Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri engaged in discussions with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel during the summit. Both leaders focused on expanding cooperation between Emirati businesses and regional industrial hubs in Gujarat. Bin Touq pointed out that Ahmedabad’s selection highlights the state’s prominence as a leading industrial and economic hub.

Abdulrahman Mohammed Alhawi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Investment and President of Investopia, revealed that the UAE contributes over 70 percent of total Gulf Cooperation Council investment inflows into India. Alhawi added that nearly 4,000 new Indian companies joined the Dubai Chamber of Commerce during the first quarter of 2026. He emphasized that the Ahmedabad edition of the Investopia Dialogues acts as a strategic milestone, helping Indian businesses access broader global markets through UAE financial centers.

Driving Investment into Emerging Industrial Corridors

The event’s commercial impact was demonstrated through significant corporate announcements by regional business leaders. LuLu Group, a retail giant, announced an Indian rupee 4,000 crore investment project in Ahmedabad. Chairman Yusuff Ali M.A. shared plans for a 21-acre development that includes a shopping mall, a five-star hotel, and serviced apartments. The initiative is expected to generate over 15,000 new jobs. Additionally, the group is launching a food park and a fish-processing plant.

Representatives from Marjan Developers highlighted the increasing involvement of Indian investors in real estate and hospitality projects. Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Saqr bin Omar Al Qasimi affirmed that Indian capital plays a crucial role in transforming Ras Al Khaimah into an international destination. Meanwhile, executives from agribusiness firm Silal Group, including CEO Dhafer Al Qasimi, participated in sector-focused roundtables to assess modern agriculture practices, cold-chain infrastructure, and supply chain resilience.

Strengthening Private Sector Alliances and Promoting Tech Adoption

Panel discussions focused on the role of sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and private equity in financing large infrastructure projects. Participants explored ways to simplify regulatory procedures to foster increased capital flow into sectors with high returns. Discussions also centered on technology transfer, emphasizing building digital infrastructure and boosting artificial intelligence integration in manufacturing networks. The goal was to enhance the competitiveness of both economies within knowledge-based industries.

The summit wrapped up with multiple bilateral meetings aimed at finalizing institutional agreements among participating organizations. Organizers indicated that the platform will continue to facilitate global dialogues in key markets, aligning private investments with long-term macroeconomic strategies. By concentrating on trade infrastructure, technological innovation, and joint ventures, the Investopia Dialogues initiative remains dedicated to establishing predictable investment channels that support global economic growth.
